
CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Firefighters responded to reports of a house fire on 9th Street SE around 7 a.m. Friday morning.
Heavy smoke was coming from the house when crews arrived on the scene. After searching for victims inside the home, firefighters were able to put out the fire.
There was smoke damage throughout the home and some fire damage inside. Firefighters say the house was vacant. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
