Volunteers needed for flood clean-up in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL)-- There's an opportunity to do volunteer flood clean-up in Cedar Rapids.

''Harvest of Hope: An Alternative to Thanksgiving''  put on by VISTA Corridor Recovery is taking place Friday and Saturday.

Work will be done both days from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. All volunteers must be over the age of 14.

If you want to help clean up flooded homes, call the Community Recovery Center at 319- 540-4810.

5,390 homes were damaged during the Floods of 2008, affecting more than 18,000 people in Cedar Rapids.
