DES MOINES (KWWL) -- Disaster recovery funds coming to Iowa now total more than $3.5 billion, according to the Rebuild Iowa Office. That's combining state, community and individual assistance.
So far, more than $2.64 billion of those funds have been approved for use. Additionally, the total funding amount now reflects money being allocated through USDA conservation programs and Rural Development.
Iowans can follow the money as it moves through the system from federal agencies to local entities in funding charts provided on the Rebuild Iowa Web site at www.rio.iowa.gov.
