LINN COUNTY (KWWL) - Funeral services have been set for a Linn County Sheriff's Deputy.

Visitation for 46-year-old Mark Taylor is set for Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids.

Funeral services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. at First Assembly of God Church in Cedar Rapids.

Taylor died after crashing his patrol car on County Home Road at 7:30 Friday night. When rescuers arrived they found the car overturned and on fire. Taylor died at the hospital.

He was a 23 year veteran of the sheriff's office.

His father is State Representative Dick Taylor, of Cedar Rapids. The Linn County Sheriff says Taylor was not responding to a call at the time.
