Ejim named Big 12 basketball Scholar Athlete of the Year

The accolades keep on piling up for Cyclone senior Melvin Ejim. On Tuesday, Ejim was named the Big 12's basketball Scholar Athlete of the Year for the 2nd time in his career.This adds to a laundry list of honors this season including All-American nods from 5 different organizations on top of his Big 12 Player of the Year award.Ejim holds a 3.7 GPA. On the court he averaged 17.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game in helping lead Iowa State to the Sweet 16 and a Big 12 tournament title. More>>

Fred Hoiberg's 2014-2015 roster got a big boost over the weekend. UNLV graduate transfer Bryce Dejaun-Jones committed to the Cyclones during a weekend visit to Ames.
