Man charged after threatening call to Cedar Rapids business

CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) - A man is in custody in Ohio for making dozens of threatening phone calls to businesses in several states, including a business in Cedar Rapids.

48-year old Richard Lee Minch faces up to 20 years in federal prison. 

The Red Robin in Cedar Rapids had to be shut down on December 30th after recieving a threatening call.
Detectives and agents with the FBI were able to link Minch to that phone call.

According to a story out of Grand Rapids, Michigan, where a U.S. Attorney is prosectuting the case, Minch allegedly placed as many as 60 threatening calls to tanning salons and restaurants in 10 states, warning female employees that he had a gun trained on them.
