RAGBRAI Preps: Bike Shopping

Bike Tech owner Brent Johnson did a very good job of tuning up my bike an early 2000 model Raleigh cycle

But Brent told me while my bike may be fine for shorter rides-- I should at least look at getting a newer one built for longer rides.

My old bike is made mainly of aluminum and weighs--more than 30 pounds. Brent showed me several newer road bikes made of Carbon that weighed 15 to 20 pounds less.
