WATERLOO (KWWL) –About 40 pilots flew into Waterloo Saturday for the second annual Flight Breakfast.
Many plane enthusiasts came out to check out the historic planes, ride in a plane, and even sky dive.
"The pilot population is down a little bit so events like this give people the chance to be around aircrafts and decide for themselves if they might want to take flying lessons," President of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association Craig Fuller said.
Senator Charles Grassley joined the pilots for breakfast to hear pilot's concerns.
"It's all about making sure our elected officials understand the importance of general aviation. An airport like this in Waterloo brings jobs to the community allows people from all over the world to come to Waterloo to do business or see friends or whatever else they might be doing," Fuller said.
