MAQUOKETA (KWWL) -- Two Maquoketa men face burglary charges after a Monday morning break in.
Police responded to a burglar alarm at Flap Jack County Restaurant shortly after 5:00 a.m. Monday. When they arrived, two men ran from officers on the North side of the building.
Both suspects were detained in the Jackson County Detention Center for public intoxication.
Officers later found the restaurant had been entered through a downstairs window, which had been broken out. Police said they also found a flat panel television, which had been partially removed from a wall bracket.
19-year-old Damien Schulze and 18-year-old Bruce Bollinger, both of Maquoketa, were charged with 3rd Degree Burglary, 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief and Possession of Burglar Tools.
Schulze was held under $9,750 cash bond. Bollinger was released on his own recognizance.
