ALLAMAKEE CO. (KWWL) -- Icy roads played a factor in a crash that killed two people in Allamakee County.
The Iowa State Patrol says 23-year old Bill Moose from Mount Hope, Wisconsin was driving north on County X26 north of Monona around 10:30 Saturday night.
Going around a curve, he lost control on the ice, crossed the center line and hit a vehicle driven by 78-year-old Arno Schlitter of Luana.
Moose and one of his passengers, 27-year old Loreena Zehrung were killed.
Three others were injured.
