WATERLOO (KWWL) - The FBI has released its report for the top 400 dangerous cities for 2008.
There are four Iowa cities on the list:
137 – Des Moines
153 – Davenport
240 – Sioux City
262 - Cedar Rapids
Waterloo was not in the top 400.
The most dangerous city in America in 2008 was Camden, New Jersey.
The annual ranking from CQ Press is based on population, and crime data from the FBI.
The study shows Camden had 2,300 violent crimes for every 10,000 people last year.
Camden also topped the list in 2003 and 2004.
Rounding out the top five for 2008 are St. Louis; Oakland, California; Detroit, and Flint, Michigan.
