CEDAR FALLS, Iowa (AP) - Make it an even dozen for Harlan.
Brian Kloewer and Dylan Barrett each scored two touchdowns and Harlan overwhelmed Pella 35-14 Saturday to win its 12th Class 3A state championship.
It was one final dominating performance by a team that was challenged only twice this season while rolling to a 14-0 record. The Cyclones piled up 479 yards and led 35-0 before the Dutch scored midway through the fourth quarter.
Pella (10-4) had won seven straight after a 3-3 start and knocked off four ranked teams to reach the title game. But once Harlan got rolling, the Dutch had no chance.
The Cyclones gave coach Curt Bladt his 11th state title. Bladt was an assistant coach when Harlan won its first championship in 1972.
