BLACK HAWK COUNTY (KWWL)-- Deputies from the Black Hawk County Sheriff's Office will be busing tables at Cedar Falls' Texas Roadhouse Friday night.
They will be serving, and working for tips from 5 to 10 p.m. to raise money for the Iowa Special Olympics. Customers are asked to make a donation to support the cause, or by the quality of service they receive from the deputies.
"This is a great partnership for us to be involved with." says Sheriff Tony Thompson. "We get crazy each year and jump into ice cold water; we work with Red Lobster in the Spring to raise both awareness and money; and now we have a partner in the Texas Roadhouse to continue a great effort on behalf of the Iowa Special Olympics."
