CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Archer Daniels Midland employees defeat a move to unionize.
Dean Petroff, manager at the ADM Cedar Rapids Railcar Facility, said Thursday that employees there defeated the move by the Teamsters.
Petroff says, "Today’s vote signifies that employees feel ADM is providing fair wages, benefits and working conditions. We view this as a vote of confidence in our company and local management."
This was the second attempt by the Teamsters to unionize the Cedar Rapids shop. The first attempt was in 2007.
