
CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -- Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids has named an alumna as its new Vice President for Institutional Advancement.
Lonna Drewelow, '86, will begin her new duties November 1, 2009.
Drewelow will be tasked with providing strategic direction, vision and management of Mount Mercy's fundraising program, as well as serving as the chief development officer.
She will also oversee staff in development, alumni relations, and communications and marketing.
Drewelow will also work with Mount Mercy President Christopher Blake to plan, implement and oversee major gifts, annual giving, alumni relations, community relations, planned giving, foundations and grants.
She previously served as director of major gifts and director of alumni services for Mount Mercy College.
Drewelow joined Mount Mercy in 1988 as capital campaign coordinator for the Vision for Tomorrow Campaign and graduated from Mount Mercy in 1986 with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree.
