Books ready for check-out at new library branch

Posted:

DUBUQUE COUNTY (KWWL)-- There's a new library open in Dubuque County.

The Asbury branch opened its doors almost a month ago but the new facility is just starting to gain interest in the community.

The new facility located at 5900 Saratoga Plaza is across from Dupaco Community Credit Union. It opened in September.

This fourth branch of the Dubuque County Library is making a big difference in rural communities.

The new library offers a variety of books, DVD's, tapes, computers and programs for free to the rural areas surrounding Asbury.

Funding for Dubuque County Library branches comes from rural taxes and city support.

All this week the Asbury branch is holding an opening celebration. You're invited to stop by for a tour of the facility and sign up for programs.
