DES MOINES (AP)--An Omaha woman critically injured in an accident in Pottawattamie County has died.
Pottawattamie County Sheriff's Department spokesman Sgt. Dwayne Ritchie says 36-year old Tamara Curtis died Sunday after being flown to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.
Authorities say the accident involving Curtis occurred around noon near Treynor, when Curtis car was hit by a pickup truck. The driver of the pickup, 32-year old Corey Hackett of Oakland, was treated for his injuries at scene of the crash.
Officials say Curtis' car was traveling north, when it pulled out onto U.S. Highway 6 from a stop sign at the intersection, and was hit broadside by the pickup. The crash remains under investigation.
