CEDAR FALLS (KWWL)-- Four young women were vying for the title of Miss Cedar Valley Saturday at College Square Mall in Cedar Falls.
Casi Roethler, a Waverly native and student at the University of Northern Iowa, took the crown of Miss Cedar Valley. She won over the judges with an interview, a talent contest and evening wear and a swimsuit competition.
A Lil' Miss, Miss Junior and Miss Teen Cedar River competition also took place.
Maria Anderson took the miss teen crown, Morgan Davis came home with the junior award, and Bella Saad won Lil' Miss Cedar Valley.
The winners will go on to compete in the Miss Iowa competition held in June.
The theme for this year's pageant was "Caring for America." The Miss Cedar River Program highlights how all Miss America contestants have a community service project also known as a platform with the goal to give back to America.
