WAVERLY (KWWL)-- A town celebrating its 150th birthday ended the weekend celebration with a safety lesson.
A bike rodeo was part of Waverly's sesquicentennial. That's 150 years since the community in Bremer County was founded.
The rodeo included a crash course in safety and a few games for practice.
"Its important for our kids in Waverly and everywhere to be safe. Make sure that they know the different traffic signals and how to make a right hand turn, left hand turn and all that kind of good stuff so that we can keep the kids in the community safe," said Kristin Vowell.
Waverly's sesquicentennial celebration wrapped up Sunday night with live music.
