GRUNDY COUNTY (KWWL)-- Sheriff deputies in Grundy County say alcohol was involved in a two-vehicle crash Sunday morning

It happened Sunday just before 8 a.m. west of Conrad.

The Grundy County Sheriff's Department says 21-year-old Travis Downs of Garwin failed to obey a stop sign on D-67 and collided with a car traveling south on Highway 14.

18-year-old Kourtney Newby of Gilman was the driver of the southbound car. Both vehicles went into the ditch.  Newby was taken to the hospital. Downs had minor injuries and was arrested for operating while intoxicated and other traffic charges.
