Man dies after northern Iowa ATV accident

ROCK FALLS, Iowa (AP) -- Officials say a Des Moines man has died after being injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident in northern Iowa.

The Cerro Gordo County sheriff's department says 41-year-old Mathew Harvey was riding the ATV near Rock Falls early Sunday when he struck a vehicle parked on the roadway. He was transported by helicopter to Mercy Medical Center-North Iowa.

A hospital official confirmed that Harvey died from his injuries on Monday.

Sheriff's officials say the accident remains under investigation.
