KEOKUK (KWWL) -- If you'd like to buy a historic bridge, here's your chance. Officials in Keokuk are looking to sell the old railroad bridge there. The bridge connects Keokuk to Hamilton, Illinois.
Keokuk mayor Dave Grudgel says the only company that still uses the bridge is Illinois-based Pioneer Railcorp. Gudgel says Pioneer has already expressed interest in buying the bridge.
The city spends at least 500-thousand dollars each year on bridge maintenence. They say the cost was closer to 1.2 million dollars this past year because of flood damage.
