WATERLOO (KWWL)-- Strong thunderstorms through Friday morning have many residents in the Waterloo and Cedar Falls area in the dark.
MidAmerican Energy is reporting nearly 8,500 homes without power early Friday. Several KWWL viewers in the Cedar Falls area have also called to report power outages throughout the city.
We've also had numerous reports of fallen trees, power lines and flooding in the Cedar Valley area.
