GOWRIE, Iowa (AP) - Two workers at a central Iowa cooperative have been injured in an explosion at a grain elevator.
The explosion happened Wednesday at the West Central Co-op in Gowrie, which is just south of Fort Dodge.
Gowrie Fire Chief Greg Benson says the employees are both men, but they have not yet been identified. They were treated for non-life threatening injuries at a local hospital.
Benson says the explosion was caused by grain dust. Investigators were not immediately certain of the ignition source.
