Kelly and Davis Leaving Hawkeye Men's Basketball Program

It appears speculation concerning Hawkeye junior guard Jake Kelly is true. Sources have told  Iowa's News Channel Seven that Kelly will be leaving the Iowa Men's Basketball program and that an announcement could be coming as soon as tomorrow. Kelly who led the Hawkeyes in scoring with nearly 12 points a game was named to the Big Ten Honorable Mention team.

It is believed that Kelly, who's mother died in a plane crash last year,  is transferring to Indiana State to be closer to his father who lives near Terre Haute, Indiana.

Also Hawkeye reserve guard Jermain Davis is leaving the program and transferring to Division 2 Minnesota State.

The Des Moines Register is reporting that Davis said he was unhappy at Iowa... Davis averaged 4 and a half points a game with Hawkeyes.
